Building Information Modelling (BIM) has revolutionised the construction industry, many governments mandating its use. Yet, outside of this industry, it is almost unknown.
A FREE open event will be held at the Clagett Auditorium, Canterbury Cathedral Precincts on 12 July 2023 at 2pm on the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in areas other than construction and engineering.
Specifically, there will be demonstrations on how BIM concepts and principles can be used in other disciplines, from the arts to business to education.
Meet and talk with BIM higher education experts from the United Kingdom, Greece, Hungary, Spain and Poland.
During this event, we will showcase the following:
- a comparative report on the use of BIM across different countries;
- a framework for integrating BIM concepts and principles into curricula; and
- sample courses showing BIM in practice
Participants can apply for free access to these materials. There will be a question-and-answer session as well. Come along for an informative session and see why BIM is taking the world by storm.
Due to the Cathedral’s security measures, all interested participants must register to attend here: https://forms.gle/BoXkUF4FS4MMNpWA8
